As a team, 'Ulu Mana competed in the Red Bull Party Wave. It's an annual event in Waikiki where teams of 3-6 compete on best wave, best raft, and best skit. Each team must complete a skit for 1 min. Then you take your hand built raft ( we built a canoe type raft with an outrigger that fit 5 people!) out to the waves and try to catch the biggest and best wave!

Mana Up is a local business accelerator program that 'Ulu Mana was lucky enough to be accepted into. Mana Up's accelerator is a 12-week intensive program designed to uncover high-impact sales opportunities, tackle production challenges, and develop executive leadership. The program includes workshops, connections to a network of advisers, help in crafting an attractive narrative for expansion, and access to distribution channels through partners and digital platforms. At the end of this there is a showcase. Below are some photos.
Every year 'Ulu Mana participates in the Waffles for Wishes event put on by the Make a Wish foundation. All money raised goes to the Make a Wish Foundation kids. This year we made and gave out 'ulu falafels, everyone loved them!
Every year 'Ulu Mana also participates in the Made in Hawaii Festival. It is held at the Blasidell Center in Honolulu. It is a big festival of all things that are made in Hawaii. You must submit paperwork proving that your products are 51% or more made in Hawaii to participate. Its great to celebrate all things Hawaiian made!
